China Cultural Tour

Welcome to the American Institute of Alternative Medicine’s China Cultural Tour 2007. We are an accredited school, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio since 1994, offering outstanding programs in Acupuncture, Chinese Massage (Tui Na) and Western Massage Therapy.

If you are interested in travel, exploring another culture and experiencing interesting sights then this trip is for you.

The China Cultural Tour enables you to experience a fascinating culture and explore 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in three different cities in China. The Educational Program has two programs to choose from – Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine. The education is designed to accommodate both the interests and needs of licensed practitioners, students and non-professionals. The Educational Programs will take place at Guananmen Hospital and Western Integrative Hospital, famous Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals in China.

There are four tour options to choose from:
 

1.      The China Cultural Tour that includes Beijing, Xi’an, Hua Shan Mountain Resort Area and Chengde for 12 days at $3,600 (double) or $3,850 (single).

2.      The China Cultural Tour plus one week of one of the Traditional Chinese Medicine educational programs for $4,494 (double) or $4,744 (single).

3.      The China Cultural Tour plus two weeks of one of the Traditional Chinese Medicine educational programs for $5,004 (double) or $5,254 (single).

4.      The China Cultural Tour plus four weeks of one of the Traditional Chinese Medicine educational programs for $6,072 (double) or $6,322 (single).

Leave from CMH to PEK, crossing the international dateline to arrive in  Beijing on August 23.

August 28

Breakfast, Terracotta Warriors, Lunch, Tomb of Shihuang, Banpo Village.  Dinner at local restaurant.

August 23

Arrive in Beijing, check into hotel, change money, orientation to Beijing neighborhood, unpack, meals in local restaurants.

August 29

Walking tour of Xian, walled city, Bell tower, Drum Tower, Great Mosque.  Lunch in local Muslim restaurant. Continue walking tour: South gate, Little Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum.  Leave for Hua Shan Mountain Resort

August 24

Breakfast, Tiannamen Square, Mao Mausoleum, Forbidden City, lunch at Fang Shan Restaurant, inside Beihai Park.  Man-Han style banquet invented in the Royal kitchen to present Empress Dowager Ci Xi with 108 courses at every meal, Hutong tour by pedicab, dinner in local restaurant.

August 30

Hua Shan Mountain Resort Hiking.

August 25

Breakfast, Summer Palace, Lunch, Lama Temple, Song Qingling Museum, China National Museum (combined History and Revolutionary Museums), Dinner, Children's Acrobatic Show

August 31

Beijing.  Loa She Teahouse enjoy teas and traditional snacks with the performances of Beijing opera, music of Traditional Chinese Instruments and acrobatic swordplay.

August 26

Great Wall hike in Simatai.

Sept 1

Van trip and tour of Chengde.

August 27

Temple of Heaven, Pearl Market, Dazhalan and Qianmen Dajie - street shopping, lunch in local restaurant, Tongren Medicinal Hall for TCM herbal remedies and TCM raw materials.

Sept 2

Free day/Leave for US/Arrive back on September 2.

August 27

Overnight train to Xian.

Price may be adjusted with an airfare surcharge if CMH to PEK exceeds $1600.
